DOUBLE L SELF-UNLOADING TRUCK BED

THE FAST AND VERSATILE SELF-UNLOADING TRUCK BED

Truck beds are the heartbeat of your in-field and handling operation. Neither can function long without them. To maintain your pace in the field and at your handling site, you need a truck bed that is convenient to load, quick to unload, and built to withstand brutal conditions season after seasons.

Since all equipment will eventually need repairs, the best equipment is designed to anticipate the necessary repairs and streamline them as much as possible. On the 3000 Series Truck Bed, virtually any part is replaceable. Most notably, rollers and bearings now can be removed without disassembling any other part of the bed. The side door can be detached with a ratchet instead of a torch and grinder. With such an elegant design, it is possible for the 3000 Series Truck Bed to last forever.

DURABLE CONSTRUCTION

Bolt-Together Design

BOLT-TOGETHER DESIGN

A truck bed under full load is subjected to intense stresses. Over time these stresses can introduce fatigue in the frame joints of a traditional welded bed. A bolt-together bed compensates for those stresses without wearing out the bolts or causing physical damage to the frame of the truck bed.

Grade 50 Steel

GRADE 50 STEEL

Double L prides itself on using the highest quality materials on all of its equipment. This starts with choosing the best steel to make your truck bed last for seasons to come. Grade 50 high-strength, low-alloy steel adds structural strength without adding weight to the machine.

Spring-Loaded Tail Lights

SPRING-LOADED TAIL LIGHTS

No matter how careful your drivers are, accidents happen while backing up to receiving equipment. Tail lights typically are the casualties of such accidents. That's less likely to be the case with Double L's tail lights. When the tail lights contact another object, the spring holding them in place will compress to give way to the other object. When the driver pulls away, the tail lights will automatically swing back into place.

Collapsible Ladder

COLLAPSIBLE LADDER

As handy as a ladder is on a truck bed, they tend to get in the way. After years of getting banged up by drivers, they are practically unusable. Double L's new ladder design can be folded up and stowed out of the way.

SERVICEABLE CONSTRUCTION

Removable Stainless Floors

REMOVABLE STAINLESS FLOORS

Years of hauling commodities can take their toll on the inside of a truck bed. The floors tend to take the brunt of the punishment. Until now, there was no easy way to replace the floors when they wore out. Loosen a few bolts, and the floors lift off of the frame. (And the best part is that no bolt heads protrude on the inside of the bed to bruise or peel your product).

Quick-Access Components

QUICK-ACCESS COMPONENTS

It's a fact that moving parts are going to wear out eventually. When they do, it shouldn't require the whole machine to be disassembled to remove the one failed part. Double L's new belt drive system allows for bearings and rollers to be easily removed without even taking off the belt.

Upgradeable Design

UPGRADEABLE DESIGN

You order a 20-foot truck bed, and a year down the road you realize that you really needed a 22-footer. Now what? The 3000 Series Truck Bed is the only bulk bed in the world that is designed to be extended or shortened. Extending the bed requires purchasing only a handful of additional parts, and your bed is as long as you need it to be.

Replaceable Side Doors

REPLACEABLE SIDE DOOR

Filling a truck bed is tricky business. The harvester has its boom inside the bed, and the truck is driving over uneven ground. Something is bound to collide sooner or later. When it does, the last thing anyone wants to do is cut down the length of the truck bed with a torch to remove a damaged door. Disconnect the hydraulic ram that opens the door and unbolt the hinges, and the door detaches.

SMART CONSTRUCTION

DOT-Compliant Lights

DOT-COMPLIANT LIGHTS

We all want to avoid brushes with the Department of Transportation as much as possible. The best way to never have unpleasant run-ins with them is to ensure that you are following their rules. When designing the 3000 Series Truck Bed, Double L researched DOT guidelines for proper vehicle lighting. Out truck bed is completely compliant with their standards.

Largest Road-Legal Bed

LARGEST ROAD-LEGAL BED

It doesn't take a genius to make a large truck bed. The trick is to do it without compromising visibility into the bed or the laws of the road. Unlike other options on the market, Double L's truck bed design increases hauling capacity without blocking the tractor operator's view into the bed.

Roller Size and Spacing

ROLLER SIZE AND SPACING

The discharge belt rides along a series of rollers. The size and spacing of the rollers play a key role in increasing the speed with which the discharge belt can unload the bed. Double L increased its roller size and spaced them each an inch closer together. This design makes room for four additional rollers in a 20-foot bed and substantially improves unload performance.

Turn Buckle Belt Tensioner

TURN BUCKLE BELT TENSIONER

Sometimes, little things can make the biggest difference. Tightening the discharge belt is routine, and we've become accustomed to the inconvenience of breaking out the tools to do it. Instead, a simple design change eliminates the need for tools and allows anyone to tighten the belt as needed.

TAP WIRELESS CONTROLS

Wireless Controls

WIRELESS CONTROLS

Tap uses Bluetooth for communication between the truck bed and its smart device controller. Harvester operators can lower the truck's side door from their cab. Receiving equipment operators can run the truck bed while operating the downstream equipment.

BYOD Compatibility

BYOD COMPATIBILITY

Remotes have a knack for getting misplaced or broken. When yours disappears, that doesn't mean that you have to be chained to the onboard controls like a caveman. Any iOS device can work with Tap without any additional setup or premium apps.

Secure Access

SECURE ACCESS

Controlling a truck bed is serious business. Any of its functions could cause significant damage to anyone or anything unfortunate enough to be in their way. Tap locks out control, only allowing a single user to control the truck bed at a time.

Single-App Mode

SINGLE-APP MODE

Are you worried that your truck drivers may be using your iOS device to catch up on Instagram instead of watching the road? Not a problem. iOS devices from Double L are locked into Single-App mode. That means your drivers only have access to the remote control app and nothing else.
